I’ve recently discovered PhpBay for a great alterative to domain parking. You can and phpBay to any php based website and you easily set up a wordpress blog with targeted ebay ads because it loads as a plugin. Use your eBay Partner Network (EPN) affiliate account and Phpbay to make great looking relevant ads based on your niche right in your wordpress blog. It’s always a good idea to mask or cloak your affiliate ID in your web landing pages or email newsletter. One reason is so that the url of you affiliate is not shown. This prevents the surfer from directly typing in the address and resulting in a lost commission for you. While there are many ways to do this, I’ve found that a url redirection service works well for this purpose. It’s really pretty easy. Just do a Google (or yahoo) search for the word “Godaddy”. The very first result should be a sponsored link for Godaddy. There should be a promotion of some kind. In this case its for $6.95 .com registrations. Use the sponsored link and get your discount! It’s that easy.

When you are parking your domains you want to get paid the most you can per click. To do this you must know what keywords pay the most while keeping your content relevant to your domain.
To find what keywords pay the best I like to use Google. You can use their keyword tool at Google Keyword tool.
First select a keyword
Put in your keyword and enter.
Then you add a column to show CPC. Put in $100.
Once you get your results you can then sort by price. The highest paying keyword will be at the top.
That’s all there is to it.
One thought before you pick the top keyword each time. The highest paying words may not have as many advertisers bidding on them. Therefore, there may not always be high paying ads on your parked page.
Another thing to look at is advertiser competition and search volume. You need to strike a balance with all of these factors while keeping your keyword relevant. In reality choosing a high paying keyword is really a balance of PPC, search volume and advertisers. Find the right balance and you’ll be getting the most from your domains.
Experiment, and try to look at your overall performance not the number of clicks.
Choosing keywords is excellent practice towards running an arbitrage campain. Google Adwords is an excellent source of paid traffic.

Google Co-op. It’s not really a parking provider but it is something different. Google Co-op is a custom search engine you can put on your site. The best part is that your Adsense code is intergrated within the search results. You’ll get ppc revenue for any revenue generated thru your search results.
Here’s an example of a working Google Co-op search box set up for domains.
I’m testing a Google Co-op page with one of my domains. Only-Yours.net used to be a Fanlisting site. It gets about 50 UVs per day. The CTR is horrible and I’ve tried every keyword I could imagine. The traffic is so varied it’s next to impossible to pin down a keyword.
So I built a Google Co-op page to search Fan sites. Hopefuly it will generate some searches and then some clicks. The user will get the results they are looking with relevant ads. This should improve the CTR. Well, at least that’s the plan. Here’s the page I made Only-Yours.Net Just a basic search page. Results are set to everything but to focus on blogs.
Setting up the site was easy. If you are using Adsense you will need a two-page site. One for the home page and a separate page for the results. It’s very easy to set up just two basic html pages. It’s not a requirement but I added a the Google translator because I get traffic from Europe as well. You have the option of what langauge you want on your search engine when you set up your page.
Another feature is that you can select or remove sites from your results page. You can also limit you search result to sites you select. I’m not using this option but it may help me define the results once I get some stats on the traffic to my site. You could also specify your search results to favor other domains or websites you may own.
I’ll post again when I get some numbers and we’ll see If it doesn’t produce more income than a basic parked page.
Google Co-op looks to be another essential tool you’ll need to monitize your domains. It offers a unique option to target your traffic. Best off all it’s quick and easy to set up. A simple template is all you need.
