If you want to monitize your blog’s eBay RSS feed then you will need to join the Ebay Partner Network(EPN) and eBay. Once you’ve got your EPN account you can use the eBay widgets tool to create your RSS feed or just go to ebay and enter your search terms. Near the bottom of the page you’ll see a link “Affiliate Tracking Information” click the button to show the affiliate box and enter your EPN campaign affiliate code and click search. Once you get your results page you click the “RSS” feed botton at the bottom of the page. Your RSS feed will be displayed. Now you need to copy the RSS url to get your feed.

Now I’m using the First RSS plug-in to display the RSS Feed but there is one more problem. In order for the feed to work the URL must be all on one line. Now if you seen your eBay link its three lines or more.

What I did to fix that was use a URL shortener like TinyURL to shorten my RSS URL. Put that URL in the plugin line and presto! You have ebay auctions in your Blog. Now the neat think about this is that you can call the eBay ads with or without the photos. If you want the pictures call the feed as “rsspara” and if you just want the auction text call the feed as “rsslist”. I’ve also found that I can only call one RSS feed per page or post.

Here’s my feed as a basic list. If you wnt to see an example of a paragraph use this link shows the feed as a paragraph with pictures. I like pictures feed better however the list will load much faster.
