Increase Domain Parking Revenue
I was earlier with two of the prominent domain parking services and really couldn’t make more than a couple of dollars a month. There is no way you can build traffic to a new parked domain in a legit way. The earnings are bound to stop, unless of course you have purchased a domain name with previously generated traffic. That too IMO has to reach a melt down point when visitors just turn a blind eye to a landing page with tons of links and leave.
Traditional Parking
Here are some points to note:
1. Unique clicks (How on earth can a new domain name get unique clicks unless some guy decides to pay for directed traffic).
2. No site promotion even through emails. Clicks originating from a mail referral source are termed fraud. Wow!
3. Can your new domain ever get indexed by any search engine? NO
4. Can you decide on the content? Or which ads you can place on “YOUR” site? NO! All you can do is add some keywords and they generate some ad content based on their theme.
I decided it was time to do what “I” wanted with my domains. I tried the whypark.com offering and believe me, I’m much better off today. Today I run my own ads, I add content I like or stick to the whypark content. I also run affiliate ads. Finally after a month of being with WP, I see a steady trickle of both adsense and other ad revenue.
They are more of a content hosting service. Its not a parking service because they have no ads to serve, it’s the domain owner who decides on what ad networks to use and they don’t have to pay WhyPark a cut from their adsense revenues or any income earned. This is the nice part.
If you are looking to optimize your site based solely on keywords to drive traffic, then there is some work involved. But, if you have a low competition niche keyword, your work is far more easier.
PPC
The best part of whypark is that you can run your own PPC. I know of many whypark members who run an adwords campaign to drive traffic to their sites. You can also try yahoo advertising (starting from 10 cents CPC) to get traffic to your sites. I mean, even if you have a high CPC on adsense on your site, it would be profitable to run a campaign from either Google or Yahoo. Even bidvertiser isn’t bad to run a campaign.
Affiliates
One of my sites makes a decent amount a month via affiliate sales. I’m using adwords and yahoo campaigns for it. I’ve not run any campaigns for my other whypark domains, but will do so soon. I assume, the worst scenario would be 50 cents a day per site. However, it would be interesting to find other user’s feedback.
I had a friend join whypark a while back and he is running an adwords campaign for his site. I know for a fact that he is making around $7 a day from just one site. This is decent income and he even had a whypark referral sign up. I think by now, he must have easily made his $ 99 investment back in 2 weeks
