Ok, last week I set up a Wordpress website with Phpbay Lite. The goal is to make money using the Ebay Partner Network and spend a little money as possible doing it. I have already set up Wordpress and Phpbay lite on my site motorcyclesgear.com. Next I used the free keyword tool at freekeywords.wordtracker.com.
The free keyword tool came up with a long list of search terms for “motorcycle”. I’m only showing the first of three pages of the list.
3747 motorcycles
3632 honda motorcycles
2722 motorcycle
2591 blue book value motorcycle
2421 yamaha motorcycles
2380 motorcycle tires
2151 motorcycle helmets
2043 used motorcycles
1829 suzuki motorcycles
1666 kawasaki motorcycles
1624 victory motorcycles
1614 motorcycle parts
1587 bmw motorcycles
1483 triumph motorcycles
1471 honda motorcycle
1245 motorcycle jump games
1230 motorcycles for sale
1125 motorcycle accessories
1079 electric motorcycle
1041 motorcycle trader
987 motorcycle insurance
907 motorcycle trailers
829 honda motorcycle parts
828 motorcycle gas mileage
816 motorcycle resale value
802 yamaha motorcycle
766 motorcycle games
750 motorcycle jackets
The number on the left is the number of monthly searches followed by the search term. What I dd next was make a page titled with the search term. Now not all of the search terms are comaptiable with my niche so I used the ones that fit my site. For now, I stayed with terms having more than 750 per month. I can add others later, for now I’m looking to get the most out of my time.
I realy wasn’t happy with the first theme I selected. The sidebar lloks funny and it’s a bit drab.

A quick Google search and I came up with a one I like better. The pages are listed on the left and are easy to see.

The last item for today is to update and submit the site map.
Time spent today 30 minutes. So far my investment is:
1.5 hours setting up the site
$15.52 for the cost of the domain
Web hosting (already have)
Now beacuse I’m looking for free traffic I have to work on getting some content added to each page and building some backlinks. Once I add enough content I’ll consider putting an Adsense block on the sidebar.
Next week I’ll add some content to each page.

Ok, So my last post was about how PhpBay to make money on your website using the Ebay Partner Network (EPN). I used my existing wordpress and PhpBay Lite to link eBay ads on my existing site antique-glass.org.
Now, what I wanted to do is see if I can make money by setting up a wordpress blog and adding PhpBay and some content. My goal is to spend as litlle money as possible in the project, no paid search or links to build traffic.
I started with a niche domain name. Since it’s an eBay affilate site I decided to buy it on eBay. I wanted a domain with a little age and not a fresh reg for SEO purposes. I also wanted a .com. I thought about a few niches and decided to pick up MotorcyclesGear.com. The domain cost me $15.52. A little more than I wanted to spend but the Motorcycle niche seems to be a good one due to the rising cost of fuel and the summer season. I could have gone with an older domain with expired traffic but my goal is to see how I can build traffic to the site.
There are plenty of places you can get free or very low cost web hosting but since I alreay have a Goaddy Linux hosting account so I used that. I pay less than six bucks a a moth for my Godaddy Linux hosting account by using discount codes. You can find the codes here. Godaddy has a neat feature that will automatically install wordpress for you so the site was live in 30 minutes. I loaded the PhpBay lite plugin and I downloaded a motorcycle wordpress theme, added the google analytics plugin and added the site to my webmaster tools. So far I have around an hour of work into the site. I added a few basic pages of the top of my head to get started along with a privacy policy. The site now looks like this motorcyclesgear.com. I’m not sure I’m happy with the theme so I’ll be looking for a new one next week.
Next week I’ll be using the free keyword tool at freekeywords.wordtracker.com to find the search terms for my pages and catagories. Then I’ll work on some link building. I’ve already added a link to some of my other sites and to my signature in my namepros.com account. The site is alreay indexed it’s time to build some traffic and add the content for my niche! I’ll be working on that next week.
I’ll make another post next weekend on the site’s progress.
This is how the site looks so far:

It’s always a good idea to mask or cloak your affiliate ID in your web landing pages or email newsletter. One reason is so that the url of you affiliate is not shown. This prevents the surfer from directly typing in the address and resulting in a lost commission for you. While there are many ways to do this, I’ve found that a url redirection service works well for this purpose. I’ve started a free service at MyLilUrl.com It’s easy to use, just put in the web address and get your cloaked and shortened url. It’s that easy. No more lost commissions!
Did you know code OYH3 can save you big $$$$? only $6.95 for .com registrations! Use these other GoDaddy discount codes to save on you next domain, hosting or renewal purchase!!
